With no prior music experience required, the Music Champions 10 week programme is designed to help you find new ways to bring connection and joy to people living with dementia. Over the course of 10 face-to-face sessions, our music therapists and musicians will teach you valuable music therapy techniques and show you how to set up and run your own music sessions to put these new skills into practice.

As a part of this programme, you’ll also engage in 10 online training sessions with other Music Champions. This is a great opportunity to discuss your experiences, ask any questions and learn from the wider Music Champion community. Our hopes are that these sessions will create a supportive network, ensuring you are not only able to deliver care through music to people living with dementia, but that you also recieve the care and support you need.

Through this online portal you will find many useful resources, from tracks and your training session details through to inspiring stories from other carers and tutorial videos you can return to again and again. We’ve seen first-hand the incredible impact that music can have in dementia care and we continue to be inspired by the carers and communities who deliver this care.
